SERIES DESCRIPTION:
This image is part of a series I completed for my Advanced Drawing class. The theme I chose was "Falling and Fallen Angels" (one of my favorite subjects), and all of the pieces were done with graphite pencil, unspeakably crappy gouache, and delicious coffee. I also touched up the levels of all of them in Photoshop because the scanner ate the colors. :T
I chose the theme primarily because I wanted to draw some raw emotion and tumbling figures, and that's what I got. I was up all night completing this series... thank god for the abundance of coffee.
INDIVIDUAL DESCRIPTION:
I love love LOVE this one. I was so lucky to stumble across the stock I referenced for it [link] and I loved how gorgeously, emotionally RAW it was. When you're digging through female stock images with the search terms "scream", about 99% of the stuff you find will be some girl looking like she's kind of going "aaaaaah, I guess" or it'll be a goofier, sillier sort of scream. This was something entirely different. I mean, LOOK AT THOSE HANDS.

thanks for using our pic for inspiration. we had the same problem finding real screams for manipulations so decided to make one. glad it worked out the way we hoped.
