My Teacher Fried My Brains by myoneandonly My Teacher Fried My Brains by myoneandonly
Another class assignment, this one from last semester, we had to do a "mural" based off of a children's book series. I chose the "My Teacher Is An Alien" series by Bruce Coville, one of my favorite childhood authors.

For those of you not familiar with the series, this is a scene when Duncan, the school's dimwitted bully who was exposed to the intelligence-boosting Brain Fryer, sneaks into the school at night to get himself another blast because he's actually enjoying being smart.

For those of you who ARE familiar with the series - OMG LOOK IT'S POOT!

I have my ups and downs about this one but for the most part I'm happy with it. That series was one of my favorite all-time reads as a kid. (My favorite character was Broxholm!)

My Teacher is an Alien and all characters (c) Bruce Coville

My favorite part of the books! (Other than grumpy old Broxholm!)

Also I love how I was super-confused by your comment until I realized what you were commenting on. <XD

Broxholm's a loveable character in a strange way. :XD: And you have to feel sorry for him; getting stuck with a bunch of human children and then being droven out by a piccolo. :meow:

XD thanks! Didn't we all want a pet Poot?

I absolutely loved Bruce Coville's writing as a kid. Even as a tot I called shenanigans on R. L. Stine's irritatingly persistent cliffhangers that turned out to be nothing at all. (I walked outside and looked around. THEN I CRIED OUT IN SHOCK! It was cold outside. THEN A COLD CLAMMY HAND GRABBED MY SHOULDER! It was my friend who lives next door! SUDDENLY THERE WAS A LOW GROWL FROM BEHIND US! It was my neighbor's dog!)

My all-time favorite Bruce Coville book has to be The Skull of Truth, though. I freaking love Yorick. XD

I HAVE NO IDEA BUT I SUGGEST THAT YOU AMEND THIS AT ONCE.

Seriously, it's one of the best kid's series I've ever read. Maybe I'm biased, but OH WELL

You should totally read it. Even though it's like a kid's series. I feel like you will connect to a certain grumpy green space man in this series who was my favorite character. XD
