EVERYWHERE

So the first project for my 2D Computer Painting class was to pick one of the photographic portraits by Martin Schoeller and paint it in Photoshop, then do three more in different, wacky-ish styles, while keeping the same color scheme. I was tied between Adrien Brody, Jack Nicholson, and Robert de Niro, but I eventually gave in to Adrien's big adorable nose. LOLOL.

My favorite are the bottom two, because the bottom right one looks mad creepy (always a plus in my mad creepy little book) and the bottom left one ended up looking like a Tim Burton character. HOORAY FOR CAREFUL USE OF THE LIQUIFY TOOL!

Fun fact: For some reason I accidentally printed out the reference photo twice, so I stuck the extra one on the ceiling above my bed. Now everytime I look up I giggle, because his face looks so sad and so happy at the same time.

Another fun fact: When I was originally painting the last one, I didn't know about the uniform color scheme rule so I was painting it in green. I decided after a while that I had subconsciously made him look like Zombie from *vert-is-ninja's comic Hanna is Not a Boy's Name. So I think I have a file somewhere on my comp where I added glowy orange eyes and hair wing-a-lings. XD

EDIT AGH ALMOST FORGOT! The texture on the bottom-right one is from here [link] and it is a delicious, lovely texture that makes my heart smile.
